  CHEMICAL OPERATORS- 3rd Shift- Mid Fairfield County, CT. Looking for a long-term career opportunity in a growing company with a positive atmosphere? A financially secure manufacturer seeks Chemical Operator to take third shift in their pilot plant. This is an employee-oriented, family-held, non-union company with a "no layoff" philosophy and no debt. They boast of many professional long-term employees. The new hire will operate various batch and continuous process equipment in the pilot plant. The equipment includes: continuous stirred batch (100 gallon to 4000 gallon) chemical reactors with distillation and decanting capabilities, distillation columns, high temperature & high vacuum wiped film evaporators (WFE) to remove solvents from products, product filtration units, extraction columns, decanters, pumps, motors, agitators, gearboxes, and more. The salary ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 an hour, maybe a little more, depending on level of experience, and there is an additional $1.00 shift differential. In addition, this company underwrites 90% of the family medical expenses, offers a company paid pension, tuition aid after one year, and gives bonuses for above average performance. This position requires a stable work history, and some processing experience in a chemical plant. They will also consider someone with other manufacturing experience who will stay on the third shift for the long term.
