APPLICATIONS ENGINEER – Boilers/Hydronics- Northeast PA
Want to be the right hand to the Applications Engineering Manager, running the department when he is traveling?
This classy, well respected East Coast-based manufacturer offers the best of both worlds—the visibility and
diverse responsibilities that come with a small company, yet it has the superior benefits and deep pockets a
division of a Fortune 1000 corporation brings. The parent corporation, a global engineered products company,
has operations in 45 countries. The division, over 100 years old, prides themselves on their engineering expertise.
The National Sales Director says coming to work here 24 years ago was the smartest decision he ever made. Turnover
of professional staff is extremely low—they have many employees with 20, 30, and even 40 years service. In 2009,
their R & D department developed three new products. Two more new systems are slated for release this year.
Reporting to an affable manager with 35 years in the boiler industry, you’ll be working with manufacturers reps,
engineers, regulatory agencies, company owners, and more on industrial and commercial gas and oil-fired boiler and
hydronic systems. Based mostly in-house, you’ll recommend the best way for systems to be laid out, focusing on
achieving the best efficiency and longevity. Since the boss plans on being promoted within 3 to 5 years, this
position offers the distinct possibility of promotion. Absolutely requires two or more years of boiler/hydronic
system applications engineering experience and a four-year technical degree (BSME strongly preferred).
Salary ranges from $65,000 to $70,000 base, maybe $75,000, plus a lucrative profit sharing plan which can
add up to 20% more. Superior benefits include Aetna cafeteria plan with dental and vision, tuition aid
(even for MBAs), 401 (k), relocation expenses, and more. Much more information is available for qualified parties.
Requires permanent U.S. residency.
