  APPLICATIONS ENGINEER – Boilers/Hydronics- Northeast PA

Turnover of professional staff is extremely low—they have many employees with 20, 30, and even 40 years service. Sales this year “are holding their own”, which is doing well for 2009. Reporting to an affable Applications Engineering Manager with 35 years in the boiler industry, you’ll be working with manufacturers reps, engineers, regulatory agencies, company owners, and more on industrial and commercial gas and oil-fired boiler and hydronic systems. Based mostly in-house, you’ll recommend the best way for systems to be laid out, focusing on achieving the best efficiency and longevity. Since the boss plans on being promoted within 3 to 5 years, this position offers the distinct possibility of promotion. Requires several years of boiler/hydronic or burner system applications engineering experience and a four-year technical degree (BSME strongly preferred). Salary ranges from $65,000 to $70,000 base, maybe $75,000, plus a lucrative profit sharing plan which can add up to 20% more.
