APPLICATIONS ENGINEER- Industrial burners -SW Connecticut
Due to a superior new line of products, this well respected division of an international corporation ranks in the
top three in North America, and their parent corporation ranks #2 worldwide. Existing over eighty years, they have
tripled their business over the past four years. Sales have increased substantially since a flat 2009, due to
their “best in class” technologically advanced systems. You'll be working along with the sales team, generating
technical proposals to meet the needs of the customer. There is no CAD design, but plenty of your time will be spent
on making technical suggestions, managing and coordinating the projects. The travel should be about 15%, mostly
domestic. The applications are quite diverse. Customers include utilities, manufacturing plants, even refineries.
Projects can range anywhere from $100,000 to $2,000,000. The salary ranges from $75,000 to $80,000, and there is
a "flex bonus" which can add another 5% annually. I will submit qualified Applications Engineers to $90,000.
Benefits are quite competitive and include 50% company matched 401 (k) on the first 10% of contribution, tuition
aid, dental/major medical, flex spending accounts, monthly office and telephone expense allowances, and much more.
They will consider heavily experienced candidates who want to work remotely from their home office, but they really
desire the engineer to live in Connecticut. Requires permanent U.S. residency, at least four years of applications
or design engineering experience with industrial boiler or burner combustion systems, a friendly, people-oriented
personality, and a BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering. The four year degree requirement
is absolute.
