About Kent Kirkland, C.P.C.:
Kent Kirkland has been recruiting and placing engineering, scientific, software, and other
technical personnel since 1981. He started out working six years with a large full service
agency, spent another six years as a subcontractor with another agency specializing in
technical and software engineering, and then opened KirklandSEARCH in Shelton, Connecticut
in August, 1993. In March, 2007, he moved the office to Beacon Falls, Connecticut into a
converted nineteen century manufacturing facility. Most of his recruiting efforts focus on
the Connecticut area, but he has conducted plenty of national searches, as well. He has
recruited a wide range of technical personnel over the years, including all types of
mechanical, software, hardware, and manufacturing engineers, biotechnology and information
technology professionals, scientists, and other support staff. He uses straightforward,
"trust-based" sales methods, and he takes a direct, forthright approach in dealings with both
client companies and recruits. Of course, all conversations with recruits are confidential.
Recruits are notified of opportunities prior to presentations being made to the client
companies. He does not handle temporary or "temp to perm" recruiting. Kent Kirkland holds
a BA degree in History from the University of Delaware. The National Association of Personnel
Consultants awarded him the Certified Personnel Consultant designation in 1984.
