This is a rare opportunity for you to be the first MEMS Project Engineer in house, spearheading a new line of products for a small division of a publicly held, international, diversified Fortune 1000 corporation. This company offers the tight knit work environment with the associated wide range of responsibilities a small company offers, yet they have the benefits which come with being part of a $1+ Billion corporation. This is a very stable, non-union manufacturer focused on developing electronic and electromechanical systems for government contracts. Products incorporating MEMS technology will be a brand new venture for this company, which means you will instantly have all kinds of visibility and management's strong support. With this will come high visibility, offering a career path with a bright future. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will lead and implement the design, fabrication and test of the new MEMS-based product line. In addition to functioning as the hands-on technical lead, you will also have project management duties, including proposal generation, scheduling, technical analyses, managing the contributions mechanical and electronic engineers assigned to the team, design reviews, and much more. There could be a small amount of travel, usually on the East Coast. They use SolidWorks, Pro/E, and Unigraphics CAD software, as well as finite analysis tools like LS-Dyna. The target salary ranges from $100,000 to $120,000, and I will present qualified engineers to $130,000 . Requires a MSME or PhD in ME. EE, Aerospace, or similar technical degree, and at least six years of product development experience, some of which utilizing MEMS technology (electromechanical strongly preferred), and some background managing projects. They also ask for competence in one of more of the CAD software packages listed above. Since the new Project Engineer will have to obtain a security clearance, U.S. citizenship is required.
