  PRODUCT ENGINEER- Naugatuck Valley, CT. This position offers plenty of visibility, as well as two possible career paths--continuing on the technical side, or it could take you into Sales Engineering, depending on your interests. You will be working directly under the Business Unit Manager in the newest, fastest growing unit of the company. In fact, from 2005 to 2007, sales figures have tripled! Known for their high quality product, this stable company has been in existence over 100 years, and they boast of many long-term employees. They offer a dynamic, exciting, and employee-oriented environment. The Product Engineer will travel North America up to 30% of the time, making technical presentations, meeting with engineers at the client sites, devising special designs for custom applications, working out prototypes in house, following these products through manufacturing and test, tweaking processes, resolving quality problems, and more. The salary ranges anywhere from $60,000 to $70,000, depending on level of experience, and they offer a full, highly competitive benefits package. In addition, this position is bonus-eligible. This requires a BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, two or more years of product engineering, marketing engineering, sales engineering, or applications engineering experience supporting a mechanical product, fine interpersonal skills, experience traveling, and a friendly personality. They will train this engineer on their product line. Requires permanent U.S. residency.
