Project Manager

PROJECT MANAGERS- Automated Systems- coastal New Haven County, CT. These opportunities offer you plenty of freedom, exposure to the highest levels of the company, and the excitement of a booming, smaller company. This core business unit of a privately held manufacturer ranks #2 worldwide in their product line. Due to their success in creating highly customized systems with superior software, sales have doubled in the past two years. They currently have a year backlog in orders. These systems incorporate material handling, conveyors, robotics, PLC controls, and fabricated metal, and the scale is large—the size of a room or even a building. The atmosphere here is typical for a small company with more orders in their history—exciting, very fast paced, chaotic, and freewheeling. The Project Manager, reporting to a Director of Programs Management, will administer custom systems projects ranging from $200,000 to $12,000,000. The duties are typical for a Project Manager and include all of the scheduling, P & L financial management, assembling project teams, being the primary point of contact with the customers, creating control processes (there are very few now), risk management, technical leadership, and more. Travel could be up to 25% of the time. The salary ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, with the target being in the middle, and they have a "project incentive" program, which could add another $2,000 to $5,000, based on adherence to schedule and budget. Benefits are competitive and include Cigna POS Basic with employee co-payment of $24.00 per biweekly pay period, dental, vision, life, flexible spending accounts, short and long term disability, EAP, company matched (25% for first three years, 33% afterwards) 401 (k) plan, accrued paid time off, preferred pricing (1% below invoice) on new Chrysler vehicles, free pizza on Fridays, company picnics and dinners, annual bonuses, and more. Their facility will be completely renovated this Spring, so you should have a pristine work environment. Sorry, no relocation expenses on this one. Requires a technical BS degree, several years of project management experience with a manufacturer of custom automated systems, and the ability to jump into projects already in progress. Because these projects are large, any experience in construction management is valuable.

Sorry, all positions require permanent U.S. residency.
